The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) is currently undertaking activities towards the annual compilation of the Provincial Product Accounts (PPA), with Region 7 as one of the nine pilot regions this year. This initiative is recognized as a more appropriate measure and assessment of the economic performance of the provinces to strengthen the planning and decision-making of provincial policymakers and stakeholders in crafting more informed economic policies. To set-off this year’s PPA data collection, PSA - Bohol, along with the other provinces of Central Visayas, conducted a Refresher Training on Provincial Product Accounts (PPA) and Philippine Standard Industrial Classification (PSIC). This one-day activity of the province was held on 01 April 2022 in a hybrid format, with a total of 14 PSA and 108 non-PSA participants. The Philippine Statistics Authority Bohol in partnership with the City Civil Registrars Office of Tagbilaran spearheaded the conduct of the motorcade in the province. The annual observance is pursuant to Proclamation No. 682 “Declaring the Month of February of Every Year as Civil Registration Month (CRM), signed by then Pres. Corazon C. Aquino last 28 January 1991. A total of 1,542 sample housing units/households across the municipalities of Bohol is included in the January 2022 Labor Force Survey/2021 Family Income and Expenditures Survey (FIES) Visit 2 of the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA). These households will be visited by hired personnel of the office anytime within 24 January to 19 February 2022. PSA hired 55 Statistical Researchers (SRs) and two Assistant Provincial Focal Persons (APFP) for the said survey.
