The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Regional Statistical Services Office (RSSO) VII conducted the 2025 First Quarter Regional Data Review (RDR) for Agricultural Statistics on 13 to 16 April 2025 at Golden Prince Hotel and Suites, Cebu City. The activity was attended by the Regional Focal Persons and Provincial Focal Persons (RFPs/PFPs) of different sectors in Agricultural Statistics (AgStat).

The objectives of this activity are to review and validate estimates to ensure the quality of its statistical products. This involves analysis of the survey data in terms of completeness, consistency among variables, trend and concentration of the data and presence of extreme observations.

The data being reviewed were the following: (a) Cereals such as Palay and Corn; (b) Other Crops such as Fruits, Non-Food and Industrial Crops (NFICS), Vegetables; (c) Fisheries including Aquaculture, Commercial, Marine Municipal and Inland Fisheries; (d) Commercial/Backyard Livestock and Poultry.

The validation process involves thorough analysis of the estimates generated from the clean data set which are compared with auxiliary information to incorporate the impact of other information and events not captured by the survey.

RD Wilma A. Perante was able to identify the issues encountered during field operations. Her careful assessment provided important information that helped the focal persons address these challenges and improve the overall effectiveness of the operation.

The NDR will be on 22 to 25 April 2025 which will be attended via online with the regional/alternate focal person of each sector on their set schedule.
