The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – Bohol is pleased to announce that over 800 thousand residents of Bohol have successfully received their National Identification (ID) cards, a significant achievement in the government's ongoing efforts to provide a secure and efficient identification system for all Filipinos.

As of 29 February 2024, 865,348 National IDs were delivered throughout the province.

The National ID not only serves as a proof of identity but also facilitates access to government services, social welfare programs, and financial services. By simplifying identification processes and reducing the need for multiple IDs, the National ID system is expected to improve efficiency and convenience for both citizens and government agencies.

Eduardo Cortado, 72 yrs old, from Mabini, Bohol was able to present his National ID upon claiming his cash grant being a beneficiary of Unconditional Cash Transfer (UCT) Program, a national government initiative that provides cash assistance to households that are considered to be in extreme poverty.

For the convenience of those who have not received their National ID, the PSA have been continuing to exert efforts to maximize its use through issuing ePhilIDs to registered persons. The ePhilID is as valid and as functional as the actual ID card.

As of last 29 February, 347,877 ePhilIDs – both printed and downloaded have been issued to the Boholanos.

As the National ID registration continues to expand provincewide, PSA prioritizes the conduct of the Mobile Registrations to municipalities with Geographically-Isolated and Disadvantaged Areas (GIDAs) and public and private entities, respectively.
