The Annual Poverty Indicators Survey (APIS) is a nationwide survey that presents data on socioeconomic profile of Filipino families, and other information that relates to their living condition. It provides inputs to the development of an integrated poverty indicator and monitoring system in the country, hence, useful to policymakers and researchers in analyzing poverty situation, and in planning, assessing, and evaluating various programs designed for the poor through the use of non-income indicators.

Levels of training were conducted that includes Task Force (TF) training attended by the Regional Focal Person (RFP), followed by the second level training attended by the Provincial Focal Persons and the hired Statistical Researchers (SRs).          

Supervision was done by both regional and provincial supervisors to monitor the Statistical Researchers (SRs).

After enumeration manual processing at the Provincial Offices and machine processing at the Regional Office with one hundred percent (100%) data encoding and verification was done to ensure quality of data. 

Data evaluation headed by PSA Central Office was done on 27 November to 1 December 2017 attended by Regional Focal Person.

This APIS 2017 operations started on the month of June 2017 and ended on December 2017.
