The Philippine Statistics Authority conforms to the Civil Service Commission Memorandum Circular 19 s 2016, on the Equal Opportunity Principle (EOP) of no discrimination practiced in terms of gender, civil status, disability, religion, ethnicity or political affiliation in the selection of employees in the training programs.  Thus, Vehicle Administration and Housekeeping Training for drivers and utility workers was being initiated by PSA, RSSO 7 through the initiatives of CRASD Chief Edwina M. Carriaga to equip the said personnel in knowledge and ability who plays a vital role in the organization.

PSA, Siquijor Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) drivers and utility workers attended the above-mentioned training scheduled on 24-25 March 2022 at Golden Prince Hotel and Suites in Cebu City and was participated in by the utility workers and drivers regionwide.

The drivers were briefed on the guidelines on the use and proper care and maintenance of service vehicles.  In particular, the following were emphasized like the driver’s trip ticket will be accomplished by the requester and photocopies of the basic documents like the Certificate of Registration, Official Receipt of Registration and Insurance Policy should be kept in the vehicles compartment.  While for the utility workers, as they are the one upkeeping the cleanliness and orderliness in the office, they were reminded on the duties and responsibilities as housekeepers.

This was a rare opportunity for the drivers and utility workers in the region to be at a venue and get to know with other personnel within the region.  They were able to raise their concerns as they were encouraged to speak by CRASD Chief Carrriaga.
