The Local Civil Registry Office (LCRO) of Lazi headed by MCR Lee Hines L. Largo and PSA, Siquijor Provincial Statistical Office successfully conducted three (3) Lecture series on Civil Registration in the Municipality of Lazi, particularly in barangays Nagerong, Simacolong and Gabayan with 4Ps recipients as the participants, in time with their monthly meetings. It was slated on the following dates: June 17- Barangay Nagerong; June 20- Barangay Simacolong; June 22 – Barangay Gabayan.

Civil Registration regarded as a continuous process that needs to be continually learned through series of lectures and trainings, be able to grasp and at the same time relay the necessary knowledge.  Thus, it is a continuing thrust to serve and assist the general public regarding their concerns.

The 4Ps recipients were chosen to be the target participants since the LCRO of Lazi encountered issues concerning their birth certificates.

There were queries and questions being addressed like on how to handle clerical and typographical errors in the birth records and other civil registry documents.  Certain cases pertaining to RA 9255, RA 9858 and on the process of Legitimation were being shared. Other concerns raised were on the process of Late Registration particularly for out-of-town births. 

It was well-attended and concerns pertaining to the topic were addressed and given proper recommendations and actions.
