Siquijodnons continue to feel the benefits brought by Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP) as BRAP beneficiaries continuosly received copies of birth certificates in security paper. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) launched the Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP) two (2) years ago and is continuosly being implemented nationwide.

BRAP primarily aims to help Filipinos particularly unregistered Siquijodnons in securing birth registrations and that no one would be left behind, true to the CRVS tagline that “Get every Pinoy and Pinay in the picture”.

A family in Barangay Cang-atuyom in the Municipality of Siquijor is a recipient of this project, they came from Tayasan, Negros Oriental and now residing in Cang-atuyom, Siquijor, Siquijor. The family of Edgie Dagohoy with whom four (4) of her family members are unregistered and through BRAP they were able to register their births and eventually received security papers of their registered births. They were thankful and appreciative of this initiative of the government led by the Philippine Statistics Authority, by this time they will be able to gain access to social services because they have already their proper identity through their birth records.
