SIQUIJOR, Philippines- The Philippine Statistics Authority - Siquijor Provincial Office conducted a thorough supervision and re-interviewing process of households, aiming for an accurate, reliable, and complete operation coverage for the 2024 Census of Population and Community-Based Monitoring System.
The supervision and re-interview are a critical step in maintaining the integrity of the data, which is a crucial tool for policy makers and researchers in understanding the country's demographic and socioeconomic trends. PSA Siquijor deployed a team of experienced supervisors to oversee the data collection process, ensuring that enumerators are accurately recording information and following standard procedures.
The supervision teams are conducting regular checks on data collection and processing, reviewing enumerator reports, and verifying data entries to ensure accuracy and completeness. The teams are also providing training and support to enumerators to address any issues or concerns they may have during the data collection process.
The PSA is also conducting a thorough review of all data collected during the census to identify and correct any errors or discrepancies. The review includes checking for inconsistencies, errors, and missing values, as well as conducting regular audits and reviews to ensure that the data meets the required standards.
The 2024 POPCEN-CBMS census is expected to provide valuable insights on population growth, distribution, and characteristics, as well as housing conditions and infrastructure. The data will be used by policymakers, researchers, and stakeholders to inform policy-making decisions, develop programs, and allocate resources.
The PSA is committed to providing high-quality data that is accurate, reliable, and representative of the Philippine population. The supervision and re-interview process are an important step in achieving this goal.
