Siquijor, Philippines – The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Siquijor Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) is proud to announce the upcoming 2024 Philippine Statistics Quiz (PSQ), set to take place on 24 October 2024 at PSA Siquijor PSO. This annual competition aims to promote statistical literacy among students and highlight the importance of data in decision-making and policy formulation.

In celebration with the 35th National Statistics Month, the PSQ continues to engage the first year college students across the nation, providing them with an opportunity to showcase their statistical knowledge and skills. The quiz covers a range of topics, including basic statistics, data interpretation, and current events related to demographics and economics.

Key Highlights of the 2024 Philippine Statistics Quiz:

Participation: Over 12 first year college students from various tertiary schools in Siquijor province will compete in the preliminary and final rounds, fostering a spirit of healthy competition and collaboration.

Awards and Recognition: Winners will receive cash prizes, certificates and tokens to encourage their pursuit of careers in statistics and related fields.
