The Philippine Statistics Authority - Siquijor Provincial Statistical Office, conducts the Municipal Level Training on 2024 Census of Population and Community-Based Monitoring System Household Data Collection and Geotagging at the Barangay Hall, Poblacion Sur, Maria, Siquijor on 01-05 July 2024 for the hired field enumerators for the Municipalities of Maria and Enrique Villanueva. In line with the simultaneous conduct of the 2024 Census of Population and Community-Based Monitoring System (2024 POPCEN-CBMS) data collection.

The deliberated hired field personnel for the Municipality of Enrique Villanueva were five (5) enumerators, one (1) team supervisor and one (1) census area supervisor while the Municipality of Maria comprised of eleven (11) enumerators, two (2) team supervisors and one (1) census area supervisor, totaling to sixteen (16) enumerators, three (3) team supervisors and two (2) census area supervisors as delegates to one cluster for the conduct of the 5-day training on introduction to POPCEN-CBMS and administering the forms.

The PSA will conduct the 2024 POPCEN-CBMS enumeration starting on July 15, 2024 to September 16, 2024 to all local government units (LGUs) under 1st to 6th income classification and also to those LGUs with no income classification. This is under the authority and mandate of the PSA to conduct emanate primarily from R.A. No. 10625 (Philippine Statistical Act), Executive Order No. 352 (Designation of Statistical Activities That Will Generate Critical Data for Decision-Making of the Government and Private Sector), and R.A. No. 11315 (Community – Based Monitoring System Act).
