The Philippine Statistics Authority-Siquijor Provincial Office recently concluded the five-day Municipal Level Training on 2024 Census of Population (POPCEN) and Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) or the 2024 POPCEN-CBMS at Tech4Ed/DICT Building, Larena, Siquijor on 01 – 05 July 2024 making a significant milestone in the advancement of data-driven governance and community development across the country and the ongoing commitment to building local capacities and fostering partnerships between the Local Government.

 

 

The participants, along with the LGU, actively participated in a caravan as part of the Nutrition Month Culmination and the launching of the POPCEN-CBMS Municipal Level Training with a lively Zumba dance. From the 1st to 5th of July, training sessions was enacted by PSA Personnel to the hired enumerators which includes hands-on exercises in survey techniques, data analysis software utilization, and collaborative scenario planning, mapping out techniques and strategies. The focus was on equipping the enumerators with the skills and tools needed to effectively collect, analyze, and utilize data for evidence-based decision-making emphasizing the critical role of accurate and localized data in assessing community needs.

The 2024 POPCEN-CBMS Municipal Level Training concluded with sense of purpose and dedication among participants to apply their newfound knowledge and skills for the upcoming 2024 POPCEN-CBMS Household Data Collection and Geotagging.
