The Regional Statistics Committee (RSC), as the regional counterpart of the PSA Board, provides direction and guidance to regional/local development activities and serves as a venue for discussion and resolution of statistical issues at the local level as provided under PSA Board Resolution No. 3.
The RSC Central Visayas conducted its fourth quarter regular meeting on 11 December 2018 at the Conference Hall of the Department of Budget and Management (DBM 7), Sudlon, Lahug, Cebu City. The matters for discussion were the proposed 2019 RSC Meeting schedules, presentation of the result of the regional assessment of the regional Sustainable Development Goals Indicators (SDGIs) for Central Visayas, conduct of January 2019 Family Income and Expenditure Survey (FIES) Second Visit, presentation of the TWGs cost estimate and a short report of the 3rd RSC Summit. The other matters discussed were for information of the RSC the availability of the PSA publications like the Women and Men (WAM) and the 2018 Regional Social and Economic Trends (RSET) for Central Visayas.
There were three resolutions approved by the RSC, i.e. RSC Resolution No. 5 “Approving and Adopting the Schedule of Regular Meetings of the Central Visayas Regional Statistical Committee (RSC) for CY 2019”; RSC Resolution No. 6 “Enjoining All Regional Line Agencies and Local Government Units and Requesting the Private Sector to Support the Progress Monitoring of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Central Visayas”; and RSC Resolution No. 7 “Enjoining All Regional Line Agencies, Local Government Units and the Private Sector to Support the Conduct of the Family Income and Expenditure Survey (FIES) of the Philippine Statistics Authority”.
