The Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) of Negros Oriental announces the rollout of PhilSys on Wheels. This is another mode of Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) registration which is expected to further increase the number of PhilSys registration in the province. With PhilSys on Wheels, PhilSys registration and other services, like ePhilID issuance and Transaction Reference Number (TRN) retrieval, will be more accessible to the public.  Interested registrants who do not have the time to visit PhilSys Registration Centers can now avail the services of PhilSys because PhilSys on Wheels will find time to go where they are.

PhilSys on Wheels registration started on the 25th of September 2023 and is currently going around the Metro Dumaguete area, which includes Dumaguete, Bacong, Valencia and Sibulan. Soon, PhilSys on Wheels will also visit other cities and municipalities in Negros Oriental.

The implementation of PhilSys on Wheels is in line with the mandate of the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), being the primary implementing agency of the PhilSys, to register every Filipino citizen. Aside from PhilSys on Wheels, the PSA are also implementing several modes of registration, such as institutional registration, barangay registration, mall-based registration, etc.
