To mark the opening of the 34^th National Statistics Month (NSM), Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – Bohol, in collaboration with the different partner agencies and stakeholders, conducted a motorcade on the main thoroughfares of Tagbilaran City on 02 October 2023.

 

This annual month-long celebration is pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 647, “Declaring the Month of October of Every Year as the National Statistics Month.” This 34^th year celebration, NSM bears the theme “Accelerating Progress: Promoting Data and Statistics for Healthy Philippines,” which emphasizes the importance of data and statistics in enhancing health outcomes.

 

This statistical undertaking was gracefully participated in by 14 different member-agencies of the Provincial Statistics Committee (PSC), the President of the Bol-anong Asosasyon of Civil Registration Officers (BACRO), the City Civil Registrar and some CCRO personnel, and    four (4) partner stakeholders from other government agencies. In summary, 54 non-PSA attendees, or a total of 20 non-PSA vehicles were noted.

 

Several major activities lined-up for this year’s celebration include the conduct of the 27^th Philippine Statistics Quiz (PSQ) on 12 October 2023, Infographics Making Competition on 20 October 2023, Information Dissemination Forum on 31 October 2023, Hanging of streamers, and distribution of Information, Education and Communications (IEC) materials or brochures for the whole month of October as part of the publicity and IEC campaigns, among others.
