On 22 March 2018, the Philippine Statistics Authority – Regional Statistical Services Office 7 was invited by the Regional Council for the Welfare of Children (RCWC) 7 to attend its 1^st quarterly meeting at the Golden Valley Hotel at 155 A Pelaez, Cebu City. The office sent Statistical Specialist II Joseph Jim D. Abadingo to represent the office during the activity.

Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Regional Director Atty. Rene K. Burdeos presided the meeting together with the other representatives of the different government agencies including the different Provincial/City Welfare Offices. Matters discussed during the meeting were: the feedback from the CWC on the Knowledge Management System Mobile Application, RCWC Functionality Indicators, template of the Regional Situationer on Children, Steps for the RCWC Strategic Plan 2018-2022, 3^rd National Plan of Action for Children vis-à-vis 3^rd Regional Plan of Action for Children, Approval of Draft RCWC Statement on Violence Against Children in the Region, and others.
