The Negros Oriental Provincial Statistical Office headed by CSS Ariel T. Fortuito conducted the Provincial Level Training on Data and Map Processing for 2022 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) Rollout to the designated Core Teams of Canlaon City, Bais City and the municipalities of Ayungon, Bindoy, Amlan and Santa Catalina on 28 February to 03 March 2023. The activity was in adherence to PSA’s commitment to give technical assistance to the LGUs and to capacitate the core teams in handling and processing of CBMS questionnaires and map files to ensure the highest quality of the CBMS data.
Data and Map Processing is an important step following the data collection phase and vital in the quality assurance procedures in the implementation of the 2022 CBMS as this is undertaken to process, check the completeness, consistency, updating/correction of inconsistencies, further scrutiny of data and maps and validate the data.
The activity was facilitated by CBMS Focal Person Harold Roy Infante, Assistant Statistician Ada Carina Villasis and some office-based personnel. The data and map processing operation for the LGU Funded Cities/Municipalities will commence after training the Data and Map Processors in their respective city/municipality.
