A total of 9,594 live births were registered from January to June in 2023.


1.    More births were registered in January to June 2022 compared to January to June 2023

Based on the 2022 results, there were 9,803 who were born from January to June 2022 compared to the  preliminary results  in 2023 at 9,594, resulting in a decrease of 209 registered births. (Figure 1)

 

2.    More births were registered in January 2023

Most number of births occurred in January at 1,846 or 19.2 percent of the total births in the province.  It was followed by the months of March at 1,741 with 18.1 percent share and February at 1,542 with 16.1 percent share.

On the contrary, the month of April recorded the least number of births at  1,471 or 15.3 percent share respectively. (Figure 2) 

 

B. Registered Marriages

From January to June 2023, a total of 4,310 marriages were recorded.


1.    Most number of marriages registered in January 2023

Based on the 2023 preliminary results, the most number of marriages recorded was in January at 826 or 19.2 percent of the total marriages in the province.  It was followed by the months of May at 793 with 18.4 percent share and February at   41 with 17.2 percent share.

Furthermore, the month of April recorded the least number of marriages with 13.8 percent share.  (Figure 3) 
 

 

C.    Registered Deaths

A total of 5,259 deaths were recorded from January to June 2023.


1.    More deaths were registered in January to June 2022 compared to 2023 of the same months

Based on the 2022 results, more deceased were recorded at 5,301compared to 2023 preliminary results at 5,259. (Figure 4)

 

2.  More deaths were registered in January 2023

There were 992 deaths registered in January or about 18.9 percent of the total deaths in the province, which was recorded as the highest number of deaths from January to June 2023.  It was followed by the months of March at 924 with 17.6 percent share and February at 872 with 16.6 percent share.

In addition, the month of May recorded the least number of deaths with 15.5 percent share.  (Figure 5) 
 

In terms of daily average, January recorded the highest with an average of 32 deaths per day, which translates to one death per hour.


On the contrary, May recorded the lowest daily average number of death at 1.
