There were fourteen (14) Philippine Statistics Authority – Regional Statistical Service Office 07 employees – from its Regional Director down to the Assistant Statistician - who were called to attend the Second Level Training on Various Systems for the Generation of Consumer Price Index held on September 10-12, 2019 at MJ Hotel and Suites, Cebu City.
The exigency of the training necessitated the attendance of our two (2) PSA Bohol employees to zero-in on our participation to the ambitious leg of CPI Price Collection via Android-Based usage. Statistical Specialists II, Emmanuel B. Galab and Fidel R. Antopina Jr. unhesitant to the cadence of time, joined other participants, intently listened and grasping every step of the way to comprehend each topic magnified by our trainers.
Felixberto M. Sato Jr., Senior Statistical Specialist of RSSO 07, Jose Alvin Almedilla, CPI data processor from central office, gunned well their expertise on the subject training modules and elaborately imparted knowledge on the instruction on how to use the four applications of the integrated CPI system, namely: CPI Store Management Application; CPI CAPI ( Computer Aided Personal Interview) Management Application; Price Tag and CPI Data Processing System. These were thoroughly explained by having tackled the brief background, interface, system preliminaries, installation procedures and system modules.
Almost two (2) weeks have elapsed, PSA Bohol Provincial Statistical Office, commenced its Third Level Training at Pasiflora Café, JJ’s Seafoods Village along C. Gallares St., Tagbilaran City on September 24 – 26, 2019. It cascaded all the topics discussed during the previous training so as to inculcate the spirit of the training modules being taught to our CPI price collectors especially in their individual android-based price tag system in our province.
Statistical Specialist II Colita E. Montoya, Statistical Analysts Isidro C. Iyog and Venus P. Gloria, Registration Officer I Armand B. Pergamino and Administrative Aide VI Romeo O. Suse completely finished the three-day training. They were all set to price data collection using the improvised system.
