The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA 7) was requested by the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG 7) to act as resource speaker during the Provincial Development Plan/SDG (PDP/SDG) regional workshop for FY 2019 on 29 November 2019 at Golden Prince Hotel.

SrSS Felixberto M. Sato, Jr. presented the result of the SDG tagging to the PDP to the representatives of the four (4) provincial government of Region 7. The presentation includes the discussion on the result of the evaluation of the submitted RMs from the PDP. SrSS also discussed the initiatives of the PSA 7 in the attainment of the SDG in the region.

The workshop aimed at giving the Local Government Units (LGUs) to evaluate their priorities aligned with the regional matrices for consideration in LGU plans and budgets; to conduct a separate workshop at the provincial level that will provide a venue for the province-city/municipal interface; and regional workshops that shall facilitate interface of provinces with National/Regional representatives of Public Financial Management (PFM) Oversight Agencies  (OAs).

In consideration of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Local Government Units (LGUs) must also ensure its tagging through its Local Development Investment Programs (LDIPs).

At the end of the workshop, the LGUs presented also their Plans Programs and Activities (PPAs) and the status of their on-going projects for FY 2019.
