Starting 16 January 2024, Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – Bohol begins the convening of the City and Municipal CBMS Coordinating Boards (C/MCCBs) for 48 Local Government Units (LGUs) of Bohol. This is in preparation for the 2024 Integrated Community – Based Monitoring System (CBMS) and Mid-Decade Census of Population. To date, six LGUs were already convened for this year’s rollout.

Furthermore, the convening of the Provincial CBMS Coordinating Board (PCCB) of Bohol was set to commence on 01 February 2024 at 2F, PPDO Conference, New Capitol Bldg., Cogon, Tagbilaran City.

Pursuant to Republic Act No. 11315 or the CBMS Act, CBMS is an organized technology-based system of collecting, processing, and validating necessary disaggregated data that may be used for planning, program implementation, and impact monitoring at the local level while empowering communities to participate in the process. The CBMS involves generation of statistical and geospatial data at the local level which serves as a basis in targeting households for government programs geared towards poverty alleviation and economic development.

Recognizing its importance, PSA-Bohol, in collaboration and partnership with the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), enjoins all LGUs of the Province of Bohol to work hand-in-hand in the implementation of the 2024 CBMS. As a co-owner of the CBMS data, each LGU plays a vital role in the CBMS.
