To strengthen the partnership towards the improvement on the implementations of social welfare services, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has invited the Philippine Statistics Authority to join in the 2nd Quarterly Provincial Convergence Committee meeting at Bellview Kuzzina Bar, Siquijor, Siquijor on 25 June 2024.

The meeting talks about the different programs of DSWD and how committee members may be able to help in the success of the implementation of their programs. Social Welfare Officer III Jeric B. Tarranza presented that there are still 4Ps members who do not have their PhilSys card number (PCN) and have particularly asked the Philippine Statistics Authority- Siquijor to assist them in making sure that their members will be able to get their PCN. DSWD 4Ps members are already required to present their National IDs or they might not be able to receive assistance from the agency.

Integrating services between DSWD and PhilSys can more accurately identify and verify beneficiaries, minimizing duplication and fraud in aid distribution. This collaboration aims to further enhance the effectiveness, accuracy, and accessibility of social services in the Philippines.
