On July 15, 2024, simultaneous nationwide conduct of the 2024 POPCEN-CBMS took place wherein the 106 hired field interviewers in the province of Siquijor were deployed in their respective area of assignment. It started with the courtesy call to the Punong Barangay and other barangay officials then proceeding to the ocular inspection of the area and at the same time do the process of canvassing before starting off with household interviews.
The Municipality of Larena comprised of twenty-three (23) barangays with an allocated fourteen (14) field interviewers, went straight to their respective assigned barangays following the start of the operation.
The 2024 POPCEN-CBMS aims to have a concrete and accurate data for the formulation of social and economic development plans, policies and programs that would benefit every Filipino and to the Larenians, in particular.
PSA, Siquijor Provincial Statistical Office headed by OIC Maghanoy is enjoining every Siquijodnon to support by accommodating every PSA personnel who visits every household and join actively by giving honest and truthful answers to census questions being asked by field interviewers. As we all know, that the operation is one of the gigantic statistical operation, in which, two (2) major statistical undertakings is integrated into one (1) major activity.
