The Philippine Statistics Authority will be conducting the 2018 Updating of the List of Establishments (ULE) in April to July 2018.  The primary objective of this undertaking is to provide a reliable directory of establishments which will be used as statistical frame for establishment surveys and census. Updated statistics on the characteristics of business establishments at the lowest level of geographic and industry disaggregation useful for both the government and private sector for   their economic and business planning and decision making will also be generated.  

The ULE entails the collection of basic establishment information from all existing business establishments in the country.  Thus, we are requesting all establishments to allow our Field Interviewers to conduct the listing operation in their office.  If personal interview with the establishment is not possible, we could provide a self-administered form to be accomplished and collected from their office, or to be delivered to our office.

The information that we will be collecting are business name, registered name, franchise, business address, contact numbers/address, economic and legal organization, nationality of owner/majority stockholder, main economic activity, total employment, total number of paid employees, total assets in range,  year started operation,  and  name and address of main office and parent company, and list of branches, if any.

We would also like to inform them with assurance that Section 26 of Republic Act 10625 provides that all information collected by this Office (PSA) will be kept strictly confidential and will not be used for purposes of taxation, investigation or regulation. The information collected will be used for statistical purposes only.
