1. Cereals
The average retail price of Cereals increased by Php 6.51 per kilogram between the first quarters of 2018 and 2019, more specifically on Rice Premium, Well Milled Rice (WMR) and Regular Milled Rice(RMR).
Retail prices of all Rice commodities, increased during the first quarter of 2019. Rice Premium posted the highest price of PhP55.40 per kilogram which is 5.76 percent higher than its price in the previous year. This was followed by Well Milled Rice (WMR) and Regular Milled Rice (RMR).
On the other hand, the Corngrits White decreased for about 31.35 percent compare to its average price in the previous year.
2. Roots and Tubers
The average retail price of roots and tubers in Siquijor province decreased by php61.42 per kilogram with 0.36 percent compare to previous year.
Carrots, medium increased by 6.30 percent and 4.03 percent for Gabi while sweet potato and white potato decreased by 4.57 and 7.12 percent respectively.
Carrots, Medium recorded that highest average retail price of php90.83 per kilogram with 6.30 percent compare to previous year.
3. Condiments
Condiments had an average retail price of PhP168.66 per kilogram during the first quarter of 2019. This was 8.80 percent more than its retail price in the first quarter of the previous year.
Most of the condiments increased its average retail price except onion red who decreased by 21.17 percent compare to previous year.
Garlic native, medium recorded that highest retail price of php380.00 per kilogram with 15.15 percent compare to previous year.
4. Beans and Legumes
Beans and Legumes in the province had an average retail price of PhP92.98 per kilogram during the first quarter of 2019. This was 10.09 percent more than its retail price in the first quarter of the previous year.
Peanuts without shell, habitchuelas and stringbeans increased its average retail price except mongo green and peanut with shell who decreased by 0.60 and 8.33 percent compare to previous year.
Peanut without shell recorded the highest retail price of php125.00 per kilogram with 59.57 percent compare to previous year.
5. Leafy Vegetables
Leafy Vegetables in the province had an average retail price of PhP48.38 per kilogram during the first quarter of 2019. This was 2.59 percent less than its retail price in the first quarter of the previous year.
All Leafy Vegetables decreased its average retail price except Camote tops who increased by 7.26 percent compare to previous year.
Kangkong recorded as the lowest retail price of php 25.53 per kilogram with 2.05 percent compare to previous year.
6. Fruits Vegetables
Fruit Vegetables in the province had an average retail price of PhP58.80 per kilogram during the first quarter of 2019. This was 9.84 percent more than its retail price in the first quarter of the previous year.
Ampalaya and eggplant increased its average retail price with 8.70 and 10.03 percent while chayote, squash and tomato decreased with 4.24 , 3.25 and 3.61 percent respectively.
Ampalaya recorded as the highest retail price of php92.00 per kilogram with 8.70 percent compare to previous year.
7. Fruits
Fruit in the province had an average retail price of PhP62.14 per kilogram during the first quarter of 2019. This was 5.46 percent lower than its retail price in the first quarter of the previous year.
Mango Carabao deceased its retail price by 26.74 percent with php120.00 per kilogram while Banana, lakatan, calamansi, papaya & pineapple Hawaiian show a positive grow rate by 13.50, 7.53, 8.88 and 5.98 percent respectively.
Only banana, latundan record a steady retail price.
8. Meat
Meat in the province had an average retail price of PhP204.67 per kilogram during the first quarter of 2019. This was 8.56 percent higher than its retail price in the first quarter of the previous year.
All meat commodity shows a positive growth rate of 8.56 percent which is the beef lean meat recorded a highest retail price of php246.67 per kilogram with 18.40 percent higher than the previous year.
9. Poultry & Eggs
Poultry & eggs in the province had an average retail price of PhP77.34 per kilogram during the first quarter of 2019. This was 7.87 percent lower than its retail price in the first quarter of the previous year.
Chicken egg, has 0.24 percent with php 6.90 per piece higher than previous year, while chicken, broiler has 8.21 percent with average retail price of 147.78 per kilogram which was lower than previous year.
10. Fish & Fishery Products
Fishery and Fishery Products in the province had an average retail price of PhP166.17 per kilogram during the first quarter of 2019. This was 8.48 percent lower than its retail price in the first quarter of the previous year.
All Fish & Fishery Products of the province drop down its average retail price except tulingan which recorded the highest average retail price of php216.67 per kilogram with 15.35 percent higher than previous year.
