2023 Updating of the List of Establishments officially starts in Siquijor with over 1,400 establishments in the List of Establishments as of March 2023.  These are to be updated as to their current business status and characteristics.

The 2023 ULE is aimed to provide an updated Statistical Business Register containing information on basic characteristics of establishments needed for the conduct of economic census and surveys and formulation of policies and implementation of programs in the country.

By virtue of Republic Act  No 10625 known as the Philippine Statistical Act of 2013, the office is authorized to collect information from businesses and industries.  Thus, Section 4 of RA 10173 or the Data Privacy Act of 2012 states that the data privacy does not apply to “information necessary in order to carry out the functions of the public authority which includes the processing of personal data for the performance by the independent agencies of their constitutionally and statutory mandated functions.”

In this regard, we are requesting all the owners, proprietors, managers of the different establishments of this province to give their truthful answers to the questions asked by our Statistical Researchers.  The primary method of data collection is through personal interview using the ULE mobile application.  Rest assured that all the information collected by this office will be held strictly confidential and will not be used for other purposes.
