The 32nd Civil Registration Month celebration as highlighted with various activities and a Poster Making Contest depicting and emphasizing this year’s theme, “Improving Civil Registration and Vital Statistics Implementation Strategies through Digital Transformation”.
It has thirteen (13) participants, of which five (5) are from the national line agencies based in the Municipality of Siquijor. These are from PhilHealth, Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation, Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP). Three (3) came from the Local Civil Registry Office clerks while the other five (5) participants are from the warm-bodied personnel of PSA, Siquijor (1 PhilSys/ 2 AgStat/ 2 Household-based survey personnel).
Judges for this year’s contest are composed of the following: Mr. Edgar C. Jumalon, Teacher II of Candanay Elementary School, Ms. Edjaly D. Bation, also a Teacher II of Siquijor Integrated School and chaired by CSS Aurelia M. Canda. Judging of entries took place at PSA, Siquijor Provincial Statistical Office on 24 February 2022 at 3:00 o’clock in the afternoon. Meanwhile, the awarding of winners scheduled on 28 February 2022 with a short program and was attended by all the participating agencies/offices/ individuals.
On the other hand, Ms Cristy P. Leonin from the household-based project emerged to get the first prize garnering an average score of 89.33 percent. Followed by Ms. Janecca B. Samson as second prize also from the household-based project with a score of 87.67 percent while third prize went to Ms. Reina Marie V. Briones of the Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation with an average score of 84.0 percent. The winners received modest prizes: cash, token and certificates while the other ten (10) entries received consolation prizes and certificates of appreciation for their cooperation and support.
