The total Fisheries production for the province of Bohol registered a 45.18 percent high increase from 10,221.87 metric tons in the third quarter of 2018 to a record of 14,840.14 metric tons in the third quarter of 2019.  Across Fisheries subsectors covered by Quarterly Fisheries Surveys (QFS), Quarterly Aquaculture  Survey (QAqS) recorded the biggest growth with a 56.68 percent followed by the Quarterly Municipal Fisheries (QMFS) that posted an increase of 25.47 percent and Quarterly Commercial Fisheries Survey (QCFS) at 20.49 percent, respectively. Conversely, Quarterly Inland Fisheries behaved a down trend in its production level.  From the third quarter of 2018 at 20.42 metric tons, it dove to a total of 9.85 metric tons in the same quarter of last year, a two digit decrease at (51.76%).  (See Table 1)

The third quarter of 2019 Quarterly Fisheries Surveys results revealed that the Aquaculture subsector contributed significantly to the overall production of the province of more than half in terms of total volume of fish production  with 69.09 percent record high.  The bigger chunk came from Municipal Fisheries at 29.08 percent while only about 1.83% was shared from Commercial Fisheries (Figure 1).
