The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) opened the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) or National I.D. Fixed Registration Center (FRC) last 19 July 2021. A launching activity was held in celebration of the opening and was attended by Tagbilaran City Mayor John Geesnell “Baba” Yap, Bohol Association of Civil Registration Officers - President Jinne Eric Flor, DILG LGOO VII Maria Reina Quilas, PHLPOST Bohol Cluster Supervisor Judith Relampagos, PHLPOST Tagbilaran Postmaster Vivian Paglinawan, PSA Bohol CSS Jessamyn Anne Alcazaren, and PSA Bohol employees.

The FRC is a registration center established permanently by the PSA to conduct PhilSys registration services. The center will cater not only residents of Tagbilaran City but the whole province of Bohol. Together with the municipality-based registration centers, it will help achieve the goal of registering 1,033,082 Bohol residents this year.

Online appointment booking will soon be available but in the meantime, the center will cater a maximum of 300 walk-in applicants daily. Update and renewal of the Philippine Identification (PhilID) card will also be available in the future.

The FRC is located at 2/F Galleria Luisa Mall, Gallares St., Tagbilaran City. It is open from Monday to Saturday and caters applicants from 9 AM to 6 PM. Interested applicants must bring one or more valid supporting documents listed on the PhilSys official website (https://www.philsys.gov.ph/supporting-documents/).
