The Philippine Statistics Authority Central Visayas spearheads the celebration of the Civil Registration Month. This annual celebration is conducted in pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 682 signed on 28 January 1991 by former President Corazon C. Aquino, declaring February as the Civil Registration Month. 

This month-long celebration aims to strengthen and intensify the commitment and advocacy of the PSA to deliver effective and efficient civil registration services and vital quality statistics to the clients and stakeholders. This is also relevant to the mandate of the PSA to enforce civil registration functions in the country. This February 2022 marks the 32nd Civil Registration Month Celebration with the theme “Improving Civil Registration and Vital Statistics Implementation Strategies through Digital Transformation”.

PSA Central Visayas will be conducting various activities such as display of streamers, motorcade, mobile registration, refresher trainings, information, education, and communication materials, civil registration quiz bee, podcast sessions, trivia quiz, tv and radio guesting among others.
