The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) in coordination with the Philippine Statistical Association, Inc. will hold the 28th Philippine Statistics Quiz (PSQ) - Provincial Elimination this coming Thursday, 24 October 2024 at 1:00 PM. This will be held at the Bangko Sentral Ng Pilipinas – Dumaguete City.

The competition will be conducted simultaneously in the four provinces of Central Visayas. A total of 27 contestants from nine (9) different colleges/universities confirmed to join the competition and these were as follows:

1)    Asian College (ACSAT);
2)   Colegio de Santa Catalina de Alejandria (COSCA);
3)    Foundation University (FU);
4)    Metro Dumaguete College (MDC);
5) Negros Maritime College Foundation Inc. (NMCFI); 
6)    Negros Oriental State University (NORSU);
7)    Silliman University (SU);
8)    Saint Paul University – Dumaguete (SPUD); and
9)    STI College.

The competition will be judged by the heads or representatives of the following national government agencies: 1) Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA); 2) Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE); 3) Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP); 4) Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT); and the 5) Provincial Planning and Development Office (PPDO).

The members of the PSQ Steering Committee and the Provincial Statistics Committee (PSC) are invited to witness the said competition.
