The Philippine Statistics Authority – Siquijor Provincial Office publicizes the conduct of the 7-day training for the Third Level (Municipal) training on 2022 Census of Agriculture and Fisheries (CAF) starting 14 August 2023, Monday to 18 August 2023, Friday and to continue on the following dates; 21 August 2023, Monday to 22 August 2023, Tuesday at Special Science Room, Siquijor Integrated School, Pulangyuta, Siquijor (Cluster 1) and Lazi Gabaldon Building, Catamboan, Lazi, Siquijor (Cluster 2).

The 2022 Census of Agriculture and Fisheries is the seventh in a series of decennial agricultural census and the sixth in the decennial census of fisheries in the Philippines since 1903. It is a large-scale government operation that aims toward the collection and compilation of basic information on the agriculture and fishery sectors in the country. The data gathered in this census will serve as the important guidelines and bases to policies, plans, and programs for the country’s socio-economic development.

This training will be administered by two clusters, cluster 1 will be participated by the municipalities from Siquijor, Larena and Enrique Villanueva spearheaded by Senior Statistical Specialist Jill Bernadette C. Abing, Registration Officer II Rizalyn Teodora G. Postrado, and Statistical Analyst Betsy Pearl A. Achay as designated to be the focal persons for  Siquijor, Larena and Enrique Villanueva, respectively. On the other hand, cluster 2 will be participated by the municipalities from Lazi, Maria and San Juan spearheaded by Statistical Specialist II Eric L. Balios, Statistical Specialist II Rosario S. Atay and Assistant Statistician Jay B. Cabaron as designated to be the focal persons of  PFP/Lazi, Maria and San Juan, respectively. As this conduct aims to train the hired CAF Assistant Census Area Supervisors (ACAS), Team Supervisors (TS), and Enumerators of the six municipalities of the province of Siquijor to their various roles and workloads for the said data gathering operation.
