On Infographics

SA Venus P. Gloria attended a training on Infographics on 01-02 April 2019 at Mezzo Hotel, Cebu City. The said activity was organized by the Regional Statistics Committee and was spearheaded by the Philippine Statistical Association, Inc. (PSAi).

As what was agreed in the office, it is required that the attendee must re-echo his/her training. Thus, on 30 September 2019, SA Gloria had a re-echo on Infographics among her co-employees. The short activity included topics on data presentation, basic statistics concepts, and the features and functionalities of the online facility, Canva. Canva is the tool used in making infographics for the province. The lecture lasted for about two hours.

On Quality Management System

PSA is now on its way to become an ISO-certified agency. In line with this, the office has conducted a series of lectures to orient the employees about the requirements for the certification process.

One of these lectures is about the Quality Management System (QMS). The QMS point persons for PSA Bohol are SuSS Jocelyn S. Sarmiento, SS II Colita E. Montoya and AO I Miraflor O. Payot. They attended two lectures on this subject matter in Bohol and in Leyte. To disseminate what was learned, the point persons conducted a re-echo of the said lecture. This was held on 27 September 2019 at the provincial office of PSA-Bohol. The speakers were SS II Montoya and AO I Payot.

Modules 1 and 2 were discussed. The topics under Module 1 include General Concept, Quality Management Principles of PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) Cycle and Risk- based thinking, and QMS Structure. For Module 2, a more detailed presentation on the quality standards of ISO.  Clauses 4 to 10 were discussed. These clauses involve standards on Context of the Organization, Leadership, Planning, Support, Operation, Performance Evaluation , and Improvement.
