The San Juan Community Multi-Purpose Cooperative (SJCMPC) Chairperson sent an invitation letter to PSA Siquijor, inviting  to speak at their general assembly regarding the significance of PhilSys and why everyone are encouraged to register to PhilSys. SJCMPC is one with the government in encouraging all Siquijodnons to become registered with PhilSys.The San Juan City Multi-Purpose Cooperative members were present at the meeting.

On March 23, 2024, at noon, Information Officer I Rod Marsell B. Larot and Registration Kit Operator Glenn Mark P. Bomediano attended the meeting as representatives of PhilSys. RKO Bomediano discussed how registration for PhilSys is now open to children aged 1-4 and encouraged cooperative members to register themselves and their children.

Meanwhile, Information Officer I (IOI) Larot explained that ePhilID represents a proactive approach by the PSA aimed at enabling a wider population of Filipinos to promptly access the privileges of PhilSys registration. Furthermore, it was emphasized that each registered individual will be provided with a physical card, irrespective of whether they have obtained their ePhilID or not. Additionally, minors under the age of 18 are eligible to obtain their ePhilID, but they must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian during the claiming process.

Questions were raised during the open forum regarding the acceptance of the ePhilID in bank transactions, given that it lacks a signature and exists solely in paper form. It was explained that even with the lack of signature we can check the validity of the PhilIDs, whether ePhilID or PhilID by scanning the QR code through PhilSys Check via https://verify.philsys.gov.ph/. IO I Larot added that the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) and the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) has released a memorandum directing BSP supervised financial institutions and Local Government Agencies to support the implementation of the PhilSys and required the PhilID and ePhilID as valid and adequate proof of identity and age and should be placed on top of the list of accepted identification in all government transactions.
