The Cebu Provincial Statistical Office encourages everyone to join the celebration of the 35th National Statistics Month (NSM) this October 2024, spearheaded by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA). This year's theme, "Advancing Data and Statistics Through Digital Transformation: A Road to an Empowered Nation," highlights the transformative power of digital innovation in advancing data and statistics to build a more empowered Philippines.

The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) will host the opening ceremony, while the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) will lead the closing ceremony. Throughout October, the Cebu Provincial Statistical Office will join the nationwide celebration by organizing statistical exhibits, information dissemination campaigns, contests, quizzes, and capacity-building workshops aimed at enhancing public awareness of the importance of accurate and reliable statistics.

These activities are designed to engage stakeholders from government agencies, local businesses, academic institutions, and the public. The annual NSM celebration underscores the vital role of statistics in evidence-based decision-making, policy development, and promoting sustainable development goals. The Cebu Provincial Statistical Office remains committed to advancing statistical literacy and improving data collection and analysis to support the province's economic and social progress.
