Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – Bohol Provincial Statistical Office announces and seeks the support and cooperation of all sample establishments for the upcoming 2023 Census of Philippine Business and Industry (2023 CPBI) and its rider survey, the 2023 Input-Output Survey of Philippine Business and Industry (2023 IOSPBI). This is scheduled to be conducted throughout the entire province starting this May 2024.

This round of CPBI differs from the previous censuses as it will encompass all formal and informal establishments engaged in economic activities classified under the 2019 Updates to the 2009 Philippine Standard Industrial Classification (PSIC). A total of 757 CPBI sample establishments in Bohol will be visited by the nine hired Statistical Researchers.

In responding to this survey, sample establishments have three options. These are: (1) filling out the online questionnaire at https://cpbi.psa.gov.ph, (2) utilizing an electronic questionnaire in portable document format (PDF), and (3) accomplishing the printed copy of the Self-Administered Questionnaire (SAQ).

The 2023 CPBI aims to collect and generate information on the levels, structure, performance, and trends of economic activities of the formal and informal establishments in the entire country for the year 2023. Also, it will serve as benchmark information for the over-all revision and rebasing to 2023 of the National Accounts. Meanwhile, the purpose of the 2023 IOSPBI is to collect detailed information on the revenue, expenses, and inventories by product of businesses and industries covered in the 2023 CPBI in order to build the input structure and to construct the distribution of output required in the compilation of the 2023 Supply and Use Table (SUT) and 2023 I-O Table.
