As of 31 January 2024, Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Negros Oriental has already registered 1,164,483 to the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) or 81.54% of the province’ total population, based on the 2020 Census on Population and Housing.
Negros Oriental Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) has conducted various activities to achieve this milestone. Some of these activities are mobile registration in every barangay, institutional registration in private institutions and public offices, school-to-school registration, DSWD Family Development Sessions co-location, on-wheels PhilSys registration, etc.
As the implementation of the PhilSys continues, the PSA remains committed to its mandate to register the entirety of the population, including resident aliens, and ensure that the public will enjoy the benefits and services of Philsys. With this, aside from PhilSys Registration, issuance of printable ePhilIDs, retrieval of lost Transaction Reference Numbers (TRNs), and replacement of PhilIDs with peeled-off front-facing photo are also catered in all Philsys registration centers in the province.
