The Philippine Statistics Authority Bohol in partnership with the City Civil Registrars Office of Tagbilaran spearheaded the conduct of the mear as Civil Registration Month (CRM), signed by then Pres. Corazon C. Aquino last 28 January 1991. Now on its 32nd year, the theme is “Improving Civil Registration and Vital Statistics Implementation Strategies through Digital Transformation”.

About nineteeotorcade in the province. The annual observance is pursuant to Proclamation No. 682 “Declaring the Month of February of Every Yn vehicles from participating partners from various government agencies and  select local government units (LGUs) joined in the motorcade which traversed the main thoroughfares of the City of Tagbilaran.

PSA Bohol including the City/Municipal Civil Registrars conducted series of activities such as display of streamers, mobile registration, trainings, information, education and communication campaign, and civil registration quiz bee.

The observance of CRM aims to remind the citizenry of their duty to register acts and events concerning status of persons as well as enhance nationwide awareness and appreciation of the legal, administrative and statistical values of civil registry documents such as birth, deaths and marriage certificates.
