25 January 2023 – PNP SPPO, Caipilan, Siquijor. The Provincial Statistics Committee (PSC) of Siquijor Province conducted the First Quarter Meeting for CY 2023 on 25 January 2023 held at the Philippine National Police - Siquijor Police Provincial Office (PNP SPPO), Caipilan Siquijor. The meeting was attended by 21 out of 28 member agencies with the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) and the Municipal Planning and Development Offices (MPDOs) of the 6 respective LGUs of Siquijor province as the new member agencies of PSC.
Engr. Jason D. Manos, Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator and PSC Chairperson, presided the meeting. He welcomed the members of the PSC body and acknowledged the presence of the newly added member agencies of DICT and the 6 MPDOs of the 6 LGUs of Siquijor province. He expressed his gratitude and deep appreciation to the PNP Siquijor Police Provincial Office for graciously hosting the said meeting.
PCol. Robert D. Lingbawan, Provincial Director of PNP SPPO, expressed his sincerest gratitude to all the partners from varying government agencies and civil society in participating through this Inter-Agency Committees like the PSC which is highly relevant in advancing the causes of public welfare with the collective effort of the member agencies as well as sharing of best practices in terms of government programs and processes for a more effective and efficient public service delivery.
The quarterly conduct of the meeting is in recognition of the vital role of PSC as the policymaking body on statistical matters at the provincial level. The PSC body also served as venue for discussion and resolution of statistical issues and coordination mechanism in providing direction and guidance to local statistical development activities.
