The Philippine Statistics Authority, Siquijor Provincial Statistical Office together with the Local Civil Registry Offices (LCROs) in the province agreed to conduct an activity dubbed as “Civil Registration Klinik” on 17th of February 2022 at Lazi Social Center, Tigbawan, Lazi, Siquijor. This is in line with the many activities conducted to highlight the month-long celebration of the 32nd Civil Registration Month that primarily aimed at accommodating the civil registration concerns and referrals of the constituents from the Municipality of Lazi. Thus, bringing closer to the people the civil registration services of the government. Other services offered were receiving requests for issuance of PSA copies of birth, marriage and deaths, accommodated through Batch Request Query System (BREQS) of LCRO, Siquijor.
The said activity was set in the Municipality of Lazi this year and the target sector of the population is the impoverished groups or the low-income neighborhood, where their civil registration concerns will be entertained and given proper recommendations and actions. All the six (6) Municipal Civil Registrars in the province took part in this activity while PSA, Siquijor represented by the undersigned, Ms Dianarose J. Balongag and hired Birth Registration Agent (BRA) Rod Marsell B. Larot.
The activity tallied twenty-seven (27) catered civil registration concerns. A number of concerns were on the requests for issuance of civil registry documents through BREQS.
It is a continuing thrust of the Philippine Statistics Authority, Siquijor Provincial Statistical Office and the Civil Registrars Association in the province of Siquijor to continually serve and assist the public regarding their civil registration concerns. Meanwhile, the Local Government Unit of Lazi through by its Local Chief Executive, Mayor James D. Monte gave his full support by granting the request for venue at Lazi Social Center.
