Boholanos are encouraged to register for the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) or more commonly known as the National ID.

This initiative aims to empower every individual by providing them with a single, secure, and universally accepted identification document. In a bid to streamline administrative processes, enhance national security, and promote inclusive development, Philippines recognizes the pressing need for a comprehensive and efficient digital identification system. The National ID Registration is a significant step towards achieving these goals, ensuring a seamless integration of services for all Filipino citizens and resident aliens.

For those who are in Tagbilaran City, PhilSys Fixed Registration Center (FRC) resumed operations 03 January 2024. It is located at 2F Galleria Luisa Building, Gallares St., Poblacion II, Tagbilaran City, and is open from Monday to Saturday, 9 AM to 6 PM. Meanwhile, National ID Registration and ePhilID issuance in the municipalities of Duero, Pres. Carlos P. Garcia, and Balilihan which is conducted from Monday to Saturday, 8 AM to 5 PM. Schedule for the resumption of National ID registration for other municipalities will be posted at PSA-Bohol Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/psabohol.

Boholanos aged five (5) years old and above may register for the ID at any of the open Registration Centers.

Interested applicants must bring an original copy of at least one (1) of the following supporting documents:
•    Philippine Passport
•    UMID
•    Driver's License
•    Birth Certificate
•    Voter's ID/Certification
•    PRC ID
•    Senior Citizen's ID
•    NBI Clearance
•    Police Clearance
•    Barangay Clearance (with full name, permanent address, birthday, picture, thumbmark/signature)

Furthermore, individuals who have not yet received their National ID are advised to obtain a copy of their ePhilID, which is just as functional and valid as the actual card. They can visit the closest registration center to obtain a copy of their ePhilID by presenting their Transaction Slip, which includes the Transaction Reference Number (TRN) —the key piece of information required to be issued an ePhilID. We also provide lost Transaction Reference Number (TRN) retrieval services in the event of a misplaced transaction slip. The typical processing period is three to five working days.
