The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) in collaboration with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) kicked off the saturation of Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries for the National ID registration. This is to ensure that the remaining unregistered 4Ps members are enrolled to the National ID System (NIDS).
To encourage 4Ps beneficiaries to register to the NIDS, PSA and DSWD implemented a National ID-Family Development Session (FDS) Equivalency. The National ID registration of a 4Ps beneficiary and his household members is equivalent to his attendance in an FDS of two (2) months. This initiative provided 4Ps members convenient access to the National ID services of the PSA.
In Negros Oriental, National ID registration teams collaborated with DSWD city/municipal links and barangay officials and arranged National ID registration schedules in all cities/municipalities. The team only catered 4Ps beneficiaries during those schedules to expedite the coverage of unregistered 4Ps beneficiaries. As of 31 March 2025, the National ID registration teams in Negros Oriental registered 6,408 4Ps beneficiaries and their household members through FDS co-location. This activity is expected to continue in the second quarter of 2025 to cater new members of 4Ps.
