PSA, Siquijor Provincial Statistical Office was invited to attend the Provincial Capitol Flag Raising Ceremony and after which to share information on Civil Registration which is also in time with the 33rd Civil Registration Month celebration.  This forms part of the Value-Creation Talk after every flag raising ceremony. 

This happened on 6 February 2023 at Siquijor Capitol Grounds in Polangyuta, Siquijor, Siquijor.

Siquijor PSO as represented by RO II Rizalyn Teodora G. Postrado gave updates and highlighted the month-long celebration of the February 2023 Civil Registration Month.  During the talk, personnel from the different offices were enjoined to fully support the various undertakings of the Philippine Statistics Authority which includes the different surveys and censuses as well as Civil Registration.  They were encouraged for full support not just for this month’s celebration but all throughout the year.  They were given salient features on Civil Registration and part of it, is the reiteration on the significance of reporting vital events of a person and its modifications thereof.  That, Civil Registration is continuous, permanent and compulsory in nature.  In effect, it is also essential to make sure that all the data entered in the civil registry documents is true, complete and accurate.

Meanwhile, Birth Registration Agent (COSW) Rod Marsell B. Larot gave updates on PhilSys Birth Registration Assistance Project (PBRAP) in Siquijor.  It was being stressed out that there is a need for every Siquijodnon to get into the picture wherein, everyone is entitled to the basic right to have a name and a nationality.  That no one would be left behind and Siquijodnons should take full advantage of this project.  Thus, encouraging everyone to take part so that 100percent of the Siquijodnons should have their respective birth certificates.

A certificate of appreciation was given to PSA, Siquijor to convey feelings of gratitude.
