PSA, Siquijor Provincial Statistical Office was invited to come to Siquijor Provincial Police Office (SPPO) to conduct a lecture on Civil Registration, labelled as “Civil Registration Services Seminar” on 4 February 2022 at SPPO Function Hall, Caipilan, Siquijor, Siquijor.  This is their way of support for the 32nd Civil Registration Month celebration.  RO II Postrado represented CSS Canda and acted as the lecturer for this undertaking.

The undersigned presented and gave a background on the salient features of the “Civil Registration System in the Philippines” and its related laws.  They were informed on value and importance of civil registration and vital statistics.  Concerns raised in this activity were on the out-of-town registration of events, clerical and typographical errors, process of Legitimation and RA 9255 and featured items in RA 10172.

Together with the undersigned are RO I Ontolan and Ms. Dianarose J. Balongag while participants of this lecture were police officers and non-uniformed personnel from the different police stations in the province, thus, it was a well-attended and represented activity.

It was a lively discussion since everyone was attentive and interested in the topic, thus, capped off with concerns being addressed and given proper recommendations and actions.  As one police officer had said, “The shared insights will go a long way”.
