The Philippine Statistics Authority Regional Statistical Services Office VII (PSA RSSO VII) is pleased to announce the expansion of the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) registration to include children aged 1 to 4 years old. This marks a significant step towards ensuring inclusive and secure identification for all Filipinos, regardless of age.
Children aged 1 to 4 can be registered for PhilSys at any registration center. The accompanying parent or guardian must present the following:
· His/her PhilID or ePhilID;
· Identification and/or supporting documents showing proof of relationship to the child; and
· Identification and/or supporting documents of the child, such as Certificate of Live Birth issued by the PSA or Local Civil Registry Office (LCRO), or any document showing the (1) full name of the child, (2) date and place of birth, (3) the full name of the mother, and (4) the full name of the father (if acknowledged).
PhilSys registration is not yet available for infants aged 0 to 11 months.
PSA encourages all parents and guardians to register their children ages 1 to 4 years old for them to immediately enjoy the benefits of being PhilSys-registered. This includes having a valid proof of identity that can be utilized for school enrollment and applications for passports and visas.
