In response to the invitation from the host progam of the “Kalambuan Sa Probinsya Sa Siquijor” at 105.7 Radyo Bisdak, PSA, Siquijor graced the noontime radio program on 14 February 2023 to talk about the planned events and services for Siquijodnons to take advantage of in the observance of the 33rd Civil Registration Month Celebration.
BRA Larot shared and gave salient features on Civil Registration and how to handle civil registry documents with errors and late registration of births especially on out-of-town births and other vital events. The public was encouraged for full support not just for this month’s celebration but all throughout the year. Thus, it was suggested that they may visit the Office, which is on the 3/F of the Siquijor Business and Convention Center, so that they may assisted with any issues and concerns they may have with their civil registry documents.
In addition, the public was also informed about the PhilSys Birth Registration Assistance Project (PBRAP), a running initiative of the Philippine Statistics Authority, provides free birth registration to our fellow Siquijodnons, particularly those in marginalized communities, Indigenous Peoples, Muslim Filipinos, the poorest sector of the nation, and individuals currently living outside their place of birth.
PSA, Siquijor expresses its utmost gratitude to Tito Butch, the host of the program, for inviting to talk on the updates of Civil Registration.
