The Philippine Statistics Authority - Regional Statistical Services Office 7 (PSA - RSSO7) along with Siquijor Provincial Statistical Office participated in the conduct of Task Force Training on Pilot Geo-tagging of Missing Building Structures from the Processed Post- Census Maps but covered in 2020 CPH Forms 2 and 3. It was a two-day training conducted by the Census Planning and Coordination Division (CPCD) of PSA Central Office last 3 to 4 February 2022. This activity aims to complete the integration of census data and geospatial information collected during the conduct of the 2020 Census of Population and Housing.
On the first day of the training OIC-ANS Florante Varona presented a short overview of the processes to be undertaken for the activity. He also commended Siquijor province for accepting the challenge as the pilot province. The phases of activity, its objectives as well as the duties and responsibilities of the involved personnel and the field data collection were also discussed. On the second day, the highlight of the training was the demo for the post-processing of the outputs using the QGis app and the discussion on the administrative and financial matters. After this undertaking it is expected that all identified missing Building Serial Numbers (BSNs) in 2020 CPH Forms 2 and 3 will be reflected and included in the census maps. The data gathered from this pilot activity will be analyzed, visualized and digitized through GIS-based census maps.
The two-day training was participated by the Regional Staff namely; Senior Statistical Specialist Myrna Trinidad T. Cataluña, Statistical Specialist II Joseph Jim D. Abadingo, Statistical Specialist II Peter E. Enfestan, Administrative Aide VI Christian Vincent Jadol, and
Administrative Aide VI Jocery Ilaran and the Provincial Staff of Siquijor PO namely; Chief Statistical Specialist Aurelia M. Canda, Supervising Statistical Specialist Joselito Maghanoy, Administrative Aide VI John Lloyd Dagohoy and their hired 2 Map Data Collectors.
